About Southern Building Systems... Southern Building Systems began its life as East Tennessee Structures in the mid 1970’s. Due to a change in the ownership, the business was re-named and incorporated as Southern Building Systems in 1985. Since that time, it has grown and developed into the premier post-frame manufacturer/distributor in the Southeastern United States. Located in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee, SBS is able to conveniently service a growing dealer network of contractors from Florida to Pennsylvania and west to the Mississippi. In 1987, SBS was invited by the Department of Housing and Urban Development to participate in a trade mission to the Russian International Construction Exhibition. Fifteen companies were invited and SBS was well represented. The trip was counted as a success and the information presented there was well received by our Russian counterparts. Today, SBS produces and delivers building packages that meet or exceed the ever-changing code requirements in all states they service. Recently, SBS has refined and expanded their product line to include some highly customized equine structures as well as internal barn improvements such as powder-coated stall systems.
